Fleet and depot electrification

Every depot gets a different answer from the grid

Electrifying a fleet is the same decision repeated at every depot, each in a different congestion area, with a different answer from the grid operator and a deadline that doesn't move. We turn that into one plan your operations team can work to.

What usually starts it

A concession that requires zero-emission vehicles by a fixed date. A zero-emission zone in the cities you deliver to. A customer that asks for emission-free transport. Or simply the next fleet renewal, when diesel stops making sense.

What you get

  • A portfolio view. Every site's contracted capacity, congestion status and room to grow, on one page, so you can see where you can start tomorrow and where you can't.
  • A ranking and a sequence. Which depots to electrify first, based on feasibility, fleet needs and grid timing, not on which site manager asks loudest.
  • A dossier per site. The routes that fit that site (flex contract, smart charging, battery, phasing), with the cost and timing of each.
  • A capex profile. What the programme costs, year by year.
  • A vendor strategy. What to buy, lease or take as a service, and how to compare offers without being steered by one supplier.
  • Programme support. We can stay on to keep the plan on track as grid-operator answers come in.

How it starts

With one depot, to test the approach in three weeks (a Flex Scan). Or with all sites at once, if the deadline is close.

Zeeman's distribution centre in Alphen aan den Rijn went from 400 kW to 1,200 kW with a capacity limitation contract and a battery as a service. Many depots need the same route to charge overnight. Read the Zeeman case

For what a depot answer looks like, see the illustrative Flex Scan memo for a distribution centre adding 800 kW for electric trucks. See the example memo
