Independent Second Opinion

A second opinion before you sign

You have a proposal from a battery supplier, a CSP, an installer or your grid operator. It may be good. An independent review tells you whether it is right for you, what it assumes, and what you could negotiate.
We sell no hardware or electricity and are not affiliated with any grid operator.
Outcome
An independent review before you sign.
Duration
3 to 5 days of senior review
We start from our own tools and from more than 1,500 projects modelled in our Decision Tool, so our answers come in weeks and are precise. You buy the answer, not the software.
You receive
A short written review with our view on each point, and a call to go through it.

What we check

  • Technical fit. Is the system sized to your real load profile, or to the supplier's standard product?
  • Contract terms. How often, and for how long, can you be limited? What are the penalties?
  • Revenue assumptions. Are CSP or market revenues realistic, and who carries the risk if they fall?
  • Risk allocation. What happens during maintenance, failure or a change of rules?
  • Alternatives. Is there a simpler or cheaper route the proposal leaves out?

Why it's worth it

At Zeeman's distribution centre, a capacity contract with Liander, a battery as a service and a CSP together took the site from 400 kW to 1,200 kW, with no investment in a battery. Checking what a proposal leaves out is often where the money is. Read the Zeeman case
