Situation

Zeeman's distribution centre in Alphen aan den Rijn installed new automated order picking. Its 400 kW connection needed roughly three times the capacity, on a congested grid.

The decision. Wait years for reinforcement, run diesel generators, or accept a capacity limitation contract (CBC) and make the site able to live with it. The third was the only one that allowed growth now without diesel.

Our role. Network and multi-party contracting coordinator. Zeeman's energy advisor, Impact Energy, led the commercial agreements.

Implement
Brought grid operator, battery supplier, CSP, installer and advisor together, and helped structure the procurement so the whole chain could be contracted quickly.
