In the Amsterdam harbour, the Skoonbox AC helped a transshipment company to relieve inland vessels from having to use their onboard generators during the on- and off-loading processes. That way, these vessels can use their generators more efficiently while sailing and can rely on a well-equipped shore power system when they are not. Saving emissions by implementing shore power systems is the way to move forward.

Skoonbox 2 AC
Skoonbox 2 AC delivers energy to users in alternating current. The battery comes with a 10 foot container for the conversion electronics. The container is the first mobile battery container certified for maritime use. At the moment, it is available in Amsterdam area, on a barge low enough to go through the canals.
