Candidate’s profile

We seek a talented and experienced software developer to take ownership of our sharing platform. We are looking for a highly motivated individual, comfortable with working in a dynamic start-up environment, and able to solve problems quickly and in a diligent manner. Aside from profound hands-on experience in software development, our ideal candidate will have a strong commercial sense and a strong understanding of the principles and best practices of system and software architecture.

What will you be working on?

Our online platform consists of two parts. Firstly, we have a rental management software tool, Skoon Suite, helping owners of energy assets develop data-driven and scalable operations. Secondly, the online marketplace, Skoon Sharing, on which clean energy assets are traded ‘Airbnb style’. The platform brings together all stakeholders, automates the logistics and offers monitoring tools for both the owners and users of clean mobile energy solutions. This is what we call Clean Energy on Demand.

You will:

• Participate in a strong team that develops and maintains our 2 applications, Skoon Sharing and Skoon Suite
• Take care of the front- and backend part of one application, primarily Skoon Sharing
• Take part in meetings to refine work, ask questions to deconstruct concepts so they are understood
• Make sure other team mates are aware of the progress of your work
• Actively help team mates in coming up with ways to solve problems

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience with C#, Java, or similar languages
• Has experience with ReactJS, or similar libraries/frameworks and can learn ReactJS fast
• Enjoys figuring out difficult problems and likes a challenge
• Has a can-do attitude, faces problems with a smile
• Does not like to cut corners when it comes to finding solutions
• Likes to find abstractions and write generic code
• Likes to think about user experience and generates ideas on how to improve the application
• Enjoys working in a team
